There's a lot of reasons why you should join your local chapter of the FYA Book Club. It's an instant community of kindred spirits; it's a safe place where you can celebrate your YA obsession without shame; it's a great excuse to drink cocktails.
And, if that wasn't persuasive enough, we've got a new reason to add to the list: getting free tickets to advance screenings of YA movies. (And feeling like a total baller!)
If I Stay, the adaptation of Gayle Forman's novel (that we love), will be released on August 22nd, but thanks to our pals over at Penguin and Warner Bros. Canada, FYA book clubs in select cities wll receive tickets for screenings earlier in the month. Hello, book club VIP field trip!
In other words, if you're a member of one of those lucky book clubs, you'll get to ugly cry before the rest of us. The only catch? We expect you to report back with the exact number of tissues we need to bring to the theater. (And yes, we'll share that information here on FYA so everyone can BE PREPARED.)
