And speaking of creepy things...this is just WRONG.  I don’t even have any intelligent company, because COME ON WORLD.  And just in case this book isn’t terrible enough, another Twilight fan fic come erotic novel is on its way.  Well, at least someone has found an appropriate use for 50 Shades

National Book Award, embroiled in a scandal?  Well, some thought they were 60 years ago.

Showdown between US and UK book covers!  Who do you think wins?

Atlantic Wire takes a look at calamity plots.  And NPR has a great piece on children’s classic Black Beauty.  That book was one of my favorites during my much-too-long childhood horse phase.

And in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, awesome YA author Tara Altebrando is donating the proceeds from two of her novels (ebooks versions) to disaster relief efforts.  So get a book AND help people at the same time!

Movie Related Things

The trailer for the movie adaptation of new adult zombie romance Warm Bodies is here:

The book was excellent, but the movie?  We’ll see!  And speaking of zombies, this week also brought us the first trailer for Brad Pitt in World War Z.  I am underwhelmed by it.  But who knows!

Also, in the world of 3D re-releases, Jurassic Park is getting the treatment in April.  Clever girl...!

A new Les Miserables trailer has been released and Vulture has some opinions.

Just in case you thought you hadn’t seen enough official movie posters for The Hobbit, here are two more sets.

Slate takes a look at a Clueless spin-off book.  Oh, mass market tie-in novels.

TV Related Things

The TV news heard round the internet this week: a Boy Meets World reboot starring the spawn of Cory and Topanga.

For the Battlestar Galactica fans out there, a new prequel is being release on the web, starting today!

And a Doctor Who musical, because why not?

Miscellaneous Things

And unrelated to anything, we have Jane Austen bandaids, Quidditch beer pong and the most realistic celebrity dolls you will ever see.

For the rest of your life, there is now only one way to link a photo to your friends on the internet.  This way.

Alix’s new favorite Irish commentators take on Eurovision (with a SVH cameo).  And a cat and an owl being friends, because the world is a magical place.

That’s it for this week!  Anything you want to share with the group?  Let us know in the comments below!
