Well, folks: the first round of FYA's Teen Heartthrob Madness -- and the delightfully cheesy photos that accompanied it -- had to come to an end sometime. There were a few upsets (and by that, I mean Posh will be upset) and one extremely close race. It truly is March Madness, y'all!
Under most circumstances, the matchup between Christian Slater and Jake Gyllenhaal (52 percent to 48 percent) would have been a shoo-in for the closest race. But that status actually belonged to Jared Leto and Ryan Phillippe (50.3 percent to 49.7 percent), with Jordan Catalano winning by a mere THREE votes!
On the flip side, the biggest wins of the round went to Heath Ledger over Harry Styles (96 percent to 4 percent), and Adam Brody over John Travolta (90 percent to 10 percent). I LOVE this; the 23 and 59 of y'all who voted for Harry and the inappropriate space invader* are why we have DEMOCRACY. Sure, your picks had no chance, but your refusal to vote for Heath and Adam has been documented, dammit! And for comparison, Zayn Malik, Styles' One Direction bandmate, was slightly less slaughtered by Christian Bale (84 percent to 16 percent), and he pulled more votes than his One Direction bandmate, too (Harry's 23 votes vs. Zayn's 86). #TeamZayn
*That sounds like a hella dark lost installment of Harry Potter.
All in all, many faves may have moved on, but many were lost as well. Goodbye, fallen gentlemen. This tournament will miss your bodies of work. (What?!? Next round's theme is teen heartthrob careers. GET YOUR MINDS OUT OF THE GUTTER.)

Please also help me console poor Posh over the defeat of her beloved Johnny Utah at the hands of Legolas, by sharing a Keanu pic in the comments. Naturally, I'll start us off with this one:
And WHOA, y'all do not like boy bands as much as I thought you did; quit playing games with my heart, you guys! Only two boy banders (JT and Jordan Knight) got the right stuff for this competition. Brian, JC, Nick, and Joey: it might sound crazy, but it ain't no lie. Baby, bye, bye, bye.
As mentioned before, the 1D boys were also (and unsurprisingly) boy band one-and-dones. Farewell, Harry and Zayn. At least you have each other. And Paul Rudd.
