YA Movie News Roundup: The PAPER TOWNS Trailer Arrives

Welcome back to the YA Movie News Roundup! Let's hop to.

The Paper Towns trailer has arrived! Watch it below, and in case you missed it, read Posh's write-up.

Insurgent reviews are rolling in, and they are really not good. Naturally, FYA has a drinking game to ease you through this difficult time!

Veronica Roth gives an interview on the changes in Insurgent, like how it changed from mediocre book to really bad movie.

Here's a new teaser poster for Mockingjay Part 2! It looks like all the other posters.

Upcoming YA adaptations:

Paramount's nabbed the rights to Jasmine Warga’s My Heart And Other Black Holes. Summary:

The story centers on a pair of teenagers, Aysel Seran and Roman Franklin, who meet through an online site matching up suicide partners (these groups actually exist) to help ensure each partner will not back out of their own suicide. In a twist on Romeo and Juliet, they become more and more intimate through the 26-day countdown to their date until one question hangs between them: Will they live or will they die?

Lionsgate is in talks to acquire Anna Carey's Blackbird. Summary:

Written in the second person, its follows a young girl who wakes up on the tracks of the Los Angeles subway with no memory; a tattoo on her wrist of a blackbird and a code; and a backpack containing clothes, $1,000, a phone number and instructions not to call the police. The only thing she knows for sure is that people are trying to kill her, and a thrilling game of cat-and-mouse ensues.

Pretty Little Liars' executive producer Marlene King is spearheading a TV adaptation of Rebecca Serle's Famous in Love, starring The DUFF's Bella Thorne. Read the FYA review here.

Not quite YA movie news but relevant to our interests:

A whole article about The 100's Bellarke!

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is producing and starring in a new live-action Fraggle Rock series. The mind boggles!

The X-Files is officially returning. For really reals. Gillian Anderson, David Duchovny and Chris Carter are all back.

Realm, a short film about a "badass teen exorcist" starring Adelaide Kane from Reign and written by The Vampire Diaries producer Rebecca Sonnenshine, will be made into a feature. Watch the short below.

That's it for this week! Give us your thoughts below.
