YA Movie News Roundup: Kirsten Smith’s TRINKETS To Be Made Into A TV Show

Welcome back to the YA Movie News Roundup! Memorial Day makes for a slow news week, but we've got a few little juicy tidbits for you here!

MTV is adapting Kirsten Smith's Trinkets as a small-screen series! Smith will executive produce and create the series alongside Andrea Seigel, who's head writer.

Trinkets, first published in 2013, revolves around three teenage girls who meet in Shoplifter’s Anonymous. Their secret friendship transforms their social, home and romantic lives.

[...] “We want to make an authentic, smart spin on the Breakfast Club — but with girls and shoplifting,” Smith said. “Andrea’s the perfect writer to bring these characters to life for television.”

Scoop on The 100 Season 3! Of interest: "EP Jason Rothenberg also teased recently that Bellamy 'will finally be recognized as the hero he is.' "

Interview with Paper Towns' Cara Develingne, who might find herself in Fifty Shades Darker? (Don't do it, girl!)

Best news ever: Amy Schumer and Paul Feig are teaming up to make a mother-daughter action comedy. Feig's producing, and Schumer's co-writing alongside her sister, Trainwreck and Inside Amy Schumer co-writer Kim Caramele and The Heat writer Katie Dippold. Let's get a female director for this thing and make it an all-around winner!

Can you identify these CW hunks by their abs? So proud to say I got 10/13.

That's it for this week - give us your thoughts downstairs!
