And speaking of the MTV Movie & TV Awards, kudos to the show for being the first to go gender-neutral. Emma Watson was as gracious as ever while accepting her best actor award.
Guy Ritchie’s live-action Aladdin will be a musical.
The BBC is working on “a new adaptation of The War of the Worlds by Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell writer Peter Harness.”

Birth.Movies.Death has a new It trailer(-ish thing) if you’re into not sleeping.

The CW’s cancelled Frequency and No Tomorrow.
Definitely not YA, but this news is unexpected and kind of unbelievable, but I love it: Jason Momoa will play Will Farrell’s son in an upcoming comedy film—one that’s being billed as “Galaxy Quest meets Ocean’s 11.”
